 Introduction

The Dobson Utilities is a collection of command-line tools that can be used in an MS-DOS and Windows 3.1x. With commands designed to display directory listings in color coded text, locate files, synchronize your system clock with a Network Time Provider, a replacement for Windows 3.1 Task List, and more!

The Dobson Utilities started out as a small project in 1992, beginning as a simple yet powerful DOS based command line utility collection and has grown into a set of tools that work in DOS and Windows 3.1x. Originally distributed through America Online, the Dobson Utilities could also be found through various freeware collections around the internet.

 Utilities Included

CDIR.EXE - Displays directories and files using color coding.
FILEDATE.COM - Changes the file time and/or date stamp on a file.
FINDFILE.EXE - File locator utility.
MEMINFO.EXE - Displays memory info such as conventional, extended, and expanded.
REVEAL.EXE - System information utility.
SUPERBAT.EXE - A multi-function batch file utility.
SYSCLOCK.COM - Displays or optionally changes the time and date.
TASKMAN.EXE - Windows 3.1 task list replacement.
TIMESYNC.EXE - Time synchronization utility for Windows. Requires TCP/IP stack.
VERSION.COM - Reports the DU version number to legacy programs.
XMOVE.EXE - Moves directory trees.
